Big Green Barney and the Giant Atom Smashing Machine

Once there was a magical turtle that had a very smart grandma who knew how to cure cancer with magical beans but she needed Barney the turtle’s atom smashing machine. So Barney had to go to his grandma’s house and carry the machine with him. But the machine weighed 2 tons and Barney could only lift half his size, which was 500 pounds, (Barney was a Galapagos turtle). So Barney had to call his cousin Dora the anaconda.

Dora was very smart and she invented a trebuchet that could fling the machine to grandma’s house, but Barney said, ”It might break the atom smasher.” So Dora and Barney had to go through the BIG scary woods, which were filled with giant evil flying sock monkeys!!! (Which threw used gym socks). So, Barney and Dora packed their things and headed into the woods.

It was only one mile to grandma’s house but it took a long time for a snake and a turtle to hike a mile. It was only a short time before they saw a sock monkey. The sock monkey asked if they knew the secret password. Of course they did not know it because they had never gone this far into the woods before. So Dora said,” I don’t know.” The sock monkey said, “Go ahead” and let them pass. (Everyone knows the password is always I don’t know). But little did they know they were being watched by a BIGGER sock monkey, who was meaner and tougher and everything in-between.

So the pair kept on walking and soon the met another sock monkey who had a riddle. He called it the monkey’s riddle. “What is yellow and scrumptious.” Barney said, “That’s simple, a banana!” The monkey said “No, a peeled banana.” “Well if you didn’t want us to know the answer why did you tell us?” replied Barney. “Darn it!” The monkey said and flew away. But the big evil monkey was still watching them, but they still didn’t know about him.

Dora and Barney just had to turn one more corner to get to grandma’s house when all of a sudden THE giant evil monkey appeared. “AHHHHH!” Cried Barney and Dora, “Oh, it’s just you.” The monkey really wasn’t evil; he was really one of grandma’s science friends. You see, the monkey was only evil to strangers but grandma had told him about Barney and Dora, and grandma had told Barney and Dora about the big evil monkey. So the monkey said, “What you got there?” “An atom smashing machine, Grandma needs it to cure cancer,” said Barney. “That’s great news, I’ll let you pass now. Bye!!” And off Barney and Dora went. “He’s so much nicer in person.” Dora remarked.

When Barney and Dora reached grandma’s house they told her all about their adventures in the woods. She found them very interesting. Then they went inside and hooked up the machine. Grandma inserted the magic beans and the atoms and pressed ON. Then BOOM!! Now the beans gave off a green glow, but they were perfectly harmless. Then everyone cheered because they knew it worked. So grandma invited every animal in the world to a party with chicken wings!
